The collection draws inspiration from historical maps of the Middle East and Central Asia , particularly Mamluk decks , considered the ancestors of early European playing cards and traditional tarot . Exceptional craftsmanship
Each card in the collection is handmade in my workshop using time-honored techniques: mulberry and Japanese hemp paper , hand-gluing , traditional mounting , and smoothing with soap . The illustrations are illuminated with colors and pigments that are stable over time, offering an authentic and lasting result.
