Make your own trio of handmade tarot cards with Agnès

This invites you to dive into the world of tarot, where you will have the privilege of creating your own trio of handmade cards in 9 x 16 cm format.
Card game or oracle, upon arrival, you will start by choosing your favorite designs (for the front and back) from a large catalog. Then you will select the cardboard layer that will constitute the heart of your cards, or the "soul" of your cards.
After cutting the cardboard to the desired dimensions, you will learn how to make a traditional glue based on flour and starch, which you will carefully apply with a brush. You will then assemble the different layers of paper to bring your cards to life, before preparing them for drying under pressure.
While your cards dry, enjoy a friendly snack where you can chat with the artisan about the history of tarot and the meaning of certain cards.
Once your cards are ready, you will treat their surface with soap to improve their texture, then you will finalize their appearance by smoothing and cutting the edges to the desired size. You will also add a touch of gold paint on the edges, and illuminate the symbols of the cards with copper leaf for a refined effect.
At the end of the workshop, you will leave with your three personalized cards, ready to enrich your prints!
Workshop location
The workshop is located in the suburbs of Paris, in the town of Villejuif, easily accessible by public transport (less than 5 minutes walk from the bus stop "Place du 8 Mai 1945" - line 131)
This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
