1. Owning a historical card, without acquiring the complete game

To make this heritage accessible to all, it is now possible to acquire a single card , taken from the handcrafted edition of the Mamlouk playing cards , considered the most faithful reproduction of the original game kept at the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.

You can choose your card from among the four iconic Kings of the Mamluk game: Coin, Cup, Wand, and Sword . The backs are cream-colored, and as an option, you can have your card illuminated with gold leaf .

Since the original is inaccessible, this edition is the result of more than ten years of research, in collaboration with the documentation work of Ulrich Kaltenborn, a specialist in ancient games.

2. A handcrafted product, using the same materials as the complete set

Each card is entirely handmade in my workshop, using the same high-quality materials as the complete edition:

Materials:
– Mulberry and hemp paper from Japan , used for printmaking and reproducing ancient works
– Acid-free kraft paper, long shelf life
– Fine art pigment ink, color stability and depth

Manufacturing:
– High-definition fine art print
– Manual gluing, traditional mounting and smoothing with soap
– Hand cutting, shaping and finishing

Back of the card:
– Standard version: white back, faithful to the originals
– Premium option on request: hand-painted back (turquoise shades) or historical motif
