Individual cards – Schematic Tarot

Original creation by Kartograme – 2024

The Schematic Tarot is a contemporary creation conceived and produced in 2024 by Agnès Kappler , craftswoman and creator of Kartograme .
This series offers a refined and essential reading of the tarot, based on an understanding of the human journey through life's trials and the inner transformations they bring about.

Each card highlights the stages of the individual's development:
the confrontation of the ego, questioning, and the mobilization of unconscious forces necessary for transformation and fulfillment.

Handcrafted

  • Handmade card

  • Laminated with three layers of acid-free paper

  • Surfaces smoothed with soap for a soft, matte feel

  • Simple and uncluttered back

  • Dimensions: 12.4 × 6.6 cm

Each card is delivered in an unsealed coloured envelope , stamped Kartograme , accompanied by a card with the Kartograme logo on which to write a personal message.

Graphic & symbolic universe

The illustration relies on a minimalist and universal visual language :

  • Red , a symbol of vital energy, action, and ego,

  • Blue , associated with introspection, the unconscious, and inner transformation,

  • the sphere , a central figure representing the individual, his unity and his movement in the world.

This deliberately reduced codification allows for an intuitive reading , accessible to all, and invites a personal perspective on the archetypes of the tarot.

Use

Individual cards from the schematic Tarot deck can be used for:

  • personal and introspective reflection,

  • the practice of tarot and symbolic readings,

  • creative or meditative guidance,

  • A gift that carries meaning.

Each card is designed as a tool for inner understanding and a unique handcrafted object, linking symbolism, contemporary creation and human journey.

Symbolism of the cards – Schematic Tarot

The Hermit

In the schematic Tarot, the Hermit symbolizes the study and discernment of the different layers of the personality. He invites us to explore the levels most deeply rooted in our relationship to matter and the tangible realities of the Cartesian world, all the way to the more ethereal dimensions, linked to air and sky.
At the core of one's being, the colors yellow and gold embody the inner foundation: the part of oneself capable of making the right effort, adapting, and persevering. This is what allows one to move forward and endure, even in times of doubt and difficulty. The Hermit thus becomes the symbol of discovering one's inner light .

The Moon

The Moon card unfolds like two halves of a heart , separated by a vast expanse of water, bathed in moonlight. It evokes an emotional adventure and a journey to the heart of the inner world.
It is an invitation to listen, feel and create from the apparent void. A gestation phase in water and in shadow, marked by sensitivity, intuition and the patient waiting for the return of the light.

The House of God

In the schematic Tarot, the House of God is inspired by the upward movement of the flame visible in the oldest representations of Arcane XVI.
In a festive atmosphere, amidst the confetti, the individual—depicted in red—becomes minuscule in the face of the immensity of the universe. Lifted into the air, they gain a shift in perspective and a higher awareness. A card of revelation, discovery, and transformation, it is a powerful lever for unlocking stagnant situations .

The Wheel of Fortune

Governed by lunar influences that are difficult for strictly rational minds to understand, the Wheel of Fortune speaks to sensitive, intuitive beings who are attentive to cycles.
It allows us to grasp the essence of repetitive situations and understand their underlying mechanisms. A path guides the observer towards the fixed point of the map: the center of the wheel , a place of balance and clarity.

Temperance

Temperance features a specific and original graphic design, based on the three cardinal values of the schematic Tarot.
The structure is composed of four squares, three of which are activated by thermodynamic circuits working to balance the system. Harmony is achieved between the blue pole , associated with intuition, and the red pole , linked to decision-making and action. This map embodies the search for a dynamic and conscious equilibrium.

The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man represents a phase of profound maturation. The suspended atom seeks its balance in infinite movement, creating the space and time necessary for the emergence of life.
This card invites us to expand our consciousness, to adopt a point of view aligned with both the infinitely small and the infinitely large, and to accept waiting as a fertile time.

The Sun

The Sun illustrates the force of attraction and union at work, both in physics and in love.
It marks a time of encounter, unity, building and sharing. It is the return of light, truth and evidence to a given situation, bringing clarity, vitality and confidence.
